And your problem is?

So I was checking the stats to my story, which is now 23 chapters long I am happy to say and I notice that I have a new review. I’m always happy to get them, but this one kind of struck a nerve with me. Out of allllllll the chapters I’ve written the only thing this person could find to pick at me for was…a comma! This to me is someone who has zero time on their hands that you can read so much and that’s the only thing you take away from it. Not that the story is any good (which at the end they said they liked it) but that the commas are where THEY don’t think they should be. Now to my knowledge of Microsoft Word (at least on my version for Mac) it corrects sentence errors as well. Sentence fragments, a semi-colon should go here, etc. I re-read my stories over before posting them and I just think it’s lame of you to leave me a review about a stupid comma! What? Do you have something against commas? Did they torture you when you were in grammar school? Did they haunt you in your dreams? It’s a stupid comma! Get over it! On a happier note…guess who is going to be getting their hands on a new Canon 50D soon? I am so excited! I have been looking to upgrade my little Rebel XT for quite some time now and was actually going to make the big leap and get the Canon 5D Mark II but after seeing and hearing about these so called “black dots” that seem to mysteriously appear in some of the pictures and also the fact that my lenses would not be compatible with it, I decided to just slow my row and go with a major / minor amatuer upgrade. Seems fair to me. While the 5D Mark II is tempting I have to remind myself I am still very much a rookie and I need to take baby steps and not leap right into the big guns. My photography teacher and his little Rebel XSI are totally jealous. Ha ha. Random pointless entry, but I felt the need to update you guys on my life and the comma lady kicked me into updating.

Happy New Years! Apparently I Have Wisdom!

Today the back of my mouth has just been aching terribly. It feels really swollen and I thought maybe I had chewed something to hard or something. Me being the gross person I am shoved my hand in my mouth trying to see if maybe I got some foot stuck between my tooth and my gum (don’t you just hate that?) and what I felt I didn’t expect. Shocker of the century I have a wisdom tooth coming in! I checked it out in the bathroom mirror and you can see a little white dot where the tooth is emerging. Unbelievable! It really hurts though and I feel like I almost can’t close my mouth all the way. I guess I’ll stick to soft foods for a bit until it eases up. Hooray though I have “wisdom” now! LoL! Also I hope everyone had a great New Years!

It’s Finally Over

The holiday’s are coming to an end. Now all we need is New Year’s and than not another Holiday until Easter…or if you live in New Orleans than it’s Mardi Gras. I’ve just been so busy writing and taking pictures. I actually ended up getting a new lense for my camera which I am sooooo excited about! It’s a 55-250mm and I got it because it has the Image Stabilizer. It’s a big help because I don’t have to do as much it’s pretty much all automatic, but the pictures come out so amazing. I also went ahead and bought some lense filters. It really does improve the way my photograph’s look, but nothing too spectacular. That’s the nicest Christmas gift I think I recieved. Other than that I got some cash, a gift card, and some clothes. The typical stuff I also went ahead and changed up my layout since Christmas is over and I was getting really annoyed with my layout. That tends to happen a lot. I promise this coming New Year I will write more because I know I have been slacking off, but I will I promise! See you all soon and I hope you all had a nice holiday!

Upgrades!

Lots of upgrading going on recently. We have the new WordPress 2.7, which I am still getting use to, but it seems pretty cool. I also got an email on my blackberry curve that the update for it’s software had finally been released! Hooray! Nothing to spectacular I have to say I mean yeah hooray for getting video, but other than that nothing to impressive. They updated the browser and stuff so kudos to updates this week!

Snow In New Orleans!

You heard right. It snowed today! I am probably just as baffled as you are, but than again I didn live in Jersey City, NJ for about 17 and a half years of my life so snow is no big deal to me. My grandparents however were all excited. Snow to them is like a huge deal, but I was confused by one thing. Why are people walking out in the snow with umbrellas? No offense, but no umbrella is going to protect you from that, but my friend gave me some insight into why, they simply don’t get enough snow to even know what to do when it happens. LoL! All the kids at school were flipping out and the girls were all complaining about having to walk across campus in the snow, but luckily they sent us all home on a Snow Day. So it’s safe to say I am getting a tiny taste of my former home, which I do miss tremendously so it was nice to be able to reminisce even for a little.

No Motivation

I haven’t updated this thing in forever! Now here’s the part where I make up all these lame excuses for why. Bottom line I’m just not that interested anymore. I went back to regular schooling (I’m in class as we speak and my teacher is definitely glaring at me) and it’s been consuming most of my time. I still work part-time with my grandpa and I’ve lately become really into my story and Animal Crossing City Folk. Most addicting game ever made and also the dumbest. I mean who really gets a kick out of talking to animals and fishing all day? Apparently I do! so there are my excuses take them or leave them either way I could care less!

So Humiliated

My grandpa got a hold of my story and proceeded to humiliate me by showing it to everyone in the office! Ugh I don’t know why these things always happen to me. It was something I was trying to keep low key probably because my father, god rest his soul, never really liked that I was into writing. He always saw his only son as being some kind of macho athlete and well I think I disappointed him a lot when I chose not to pursue sports after my Freshman year of high school. Now they’re all trying to print copies afraid I’m going to take it down out of sheer embarrassment, but I like my story so much I’m not willing to part with it. Everything I wrote in that story is how I’ve felt at one point in my life or another and honestly it has consumed my life like anyone with a passion for writing. My gramps said he showed it to them because he’s proud of me and while I am a little annoyed by it, it makes me happy that finally someone accepts the fact that I am not an athlete. Sure I swam on the swim team, but nothing makes me feel more at home than to sit down in front of my computer and spill all my emotions into my characters. One girl even cried, but she cries at tv commercials too so its definitely not an ego booster, but its nice that my story made some sort of impact. O.k. Yeah I sound like a nut job I’m out!

Thanksgiving and Story Writing

I know I haven’t been around much. I hope everyone in the U.S. had a nice Thanksgiving. We did the usual turkey dinner and all that rubbish. I haven’t really been around because I have been throwing myself into writing my fiction story called Kindle. I have gotten sooooo immersed in writing it that I haven’t really spent any time doing anything else. It definitely is a great stress reliever and I have always been one that I have so many thoughts running through my head, but I never seem to get them down on paper. This time though I am making sure I get this story out as it is really good, to me at least. Twilight

Sucked badly! I saw it last night with my cousins, who by the way read the books, and even they said it was awful. It was just too awkward with Bella and Edward and no offense to all the Edward fans but he was not cast well at all. The guy who played him was horrible! We were talking about him the other day and concluded that he always looks drunk. So that being said we decided if Stephanie Meyer did write another book it should be named “Edward the Alchy”. Just an awful movie all around they probably could have done better and if you haven’t seen it yet don’t bother. Of course all the little teen girls thought it was amazing, but once they get a little older they’ll realize what crap it actually is.
